We're a creative agency based in Turin, Italy:

we chose a Japanese word for our name but unfortunately nobody can pronounce it properly.

Our IKIGAI is to find yours.

Feeling your IKIGAI is like having superpowers, because you’ve found your happiness. Your ikigai is fundamental in communication: that’s why our aim is to find yours.

IKIGAI MEDIA was born in 2016, thanks to an idea of Nicola Martini and Fabio Russo.

Both art-directors with several years of experience in communications and advertising agencies. In its first three years IKIGAI MEDIA has been a collective of creative freelancers. That formula has helped us to create our current mission: to provide the services of an agency with the freshness of a freelancer. In 2019 the collective became a firm – an agency specialized in branding, art-direction and videomaking.

Some Brands we worked with:

O’ Director

NICOLA MARTINI

Graphic designer by day, musician and songwriter by night: Nicola likes to think of himself as a “good-ideas lover”, thanks to his passion for creativity at work as well as in life. Versatility and curiosity give him an enthusiastic approach to every situation. That’s why he’s often involved in the most strategic phases of the projects: from the study of a concept to more complex ideation of communication campaigns or promotional initiatives. With several years of experience as Digital Art-Director in Sixeleven, in 2018 Nicola collaborated with Accademia del Lusso di Milano as teacher of Fashion Graphic Design. He loves to write, shoot and edit videos, make delicious dishes without reading the recipes.

Heart Director

FABIO RUSSO

1990, born in Turin with proud Apulian roots. As a kid he showed his skills painting Christmas trees on his home walls with crayons. Years later he got his high school diploma at Albe Steiner institute in Turin and eventually he started to work as graphic designer in several advertising agencies, such as Wic-o, Sixeleven, Dadostudio and Macisto, having also the chance of knowing many organisations like Laboratorio Zanzara, Hanglovers Party and _resetfestival. He totally mastered aesthetics and branding, Fabio loves the whole creative process – guided in life by his partner Pelè (see below).

Lady Design

SOFIA PATAFI

Graduated in Communication Design at IAAD in Turin. Queen of fried food and layouts, she loves to work with headphones on while listening to a wide variety of music. She only removes them for gossip or if she hears the word Bunker (if you don’t know where to find her, she’ll definitely be there).

Visualwoman

MARIABIANCA MINELLI

When she is not drawing it’s because she is thinking of doing it. Graduated in Design and Visual Communication at Politecnico di Torino, Mariabianca is a graphic novels’ deep lover. While she was studying, she drew for passion and on commision, keep collecting followers from all over the world (Vin Diesel above all!)

Mrs Wolf

CECILIA COPPA

Numbers are her field: Cecilia studied maths but applied her skill in the communication world. First Account Manager and Marketing Specialist in several advertising agencies, she moves to Rome to manage social media channels of italians movie majors (Disney, Universal, Sony), working for web launches of many international titles. Report and analysis don’t bother her – and we still don’t know why.

Comic Sans Bald

GIACOMO D’AGOSTINO

Coming from the Deep South, he never misses an opportunity to mention famous people from his hometown Foggia (according to him there are so many). He mainly does custom typography & lettering, being published in multiple trade books. If you need 3D stuff or a joke to cheer you up, you know who to ask. He is the opponent to beat at biliardino (but don’t tell the others).

Content Queen

MARGHERITA AGATI

Meg prove themselves adept and comfortable both directing cameras for content production and posing as a model for a shoot (you may have already seen her on this site…). After studying Media Production in Coventry, they returned to Turin to work as a freelance videomaker, mainly creating social content for fashion brands. They never miss an opportunity to experiment with new techniques and equipment.
When you ask them anything, they are likely to answer ‘meow’, ‘joyful’ or ‘slay’.
